Identical energy drinks
Many of us the day starts from morning coffee, but some of us reach commonly for energy drinks. There are quite a few brands available in the market, but which to choose? As my analysis shows, the choice has not the slightest importance, because they are all the same!
A few years ago, one of the popular Polish portals did test with Polish boxer Dariusz ‘ Tiger” Michalczewski. He was the face of one of the energy drinks which took its name from his nickname. After a few years there were some misunderstandings between Dariusz Michalczewski and FoodCare company, which produced Tiger. Very quickly another company contated Michalczewski and for a short time there were two drinks of the same name in the market. The aforementioned test was about receiving by the former boxer 2 different Tiger energys drinks. However, he could not distinguish which drink is which. How is it possible? Because all the energy drinks are almost identical.
8 energy drinks priced from 1.50 zł to 8 zł have been tastes. 6 of tchem have an equal dose of caffeine – 32 mg per 100 ml. Outstanding energy drinks are BULLIT with caffeine content of 30 mg per 100 ml and ADRENALINE with caffeine content of 29 mg per 100 ml.
Another ingredient that can be found in most available energy drinks is taurine. In the case of the variation is even smaller. From among all the listed in the table, only ADRENALINE has about half the dose less of it than other energy drinks and it’s 200 mg per 100 ml.
In addition to caffeine and taurine all have nearly identical components, which, however, have a negligible effect on the stimulation of the human body. Each drink in its composition contains components such as niacin, Pantothenic acid, vitamin B6 and B12, and inositol. Against this background stands out only ADRENALINE that does not contain niacin, which is involved in the metabolism to energy and inositol release which in turn is responsible for lowering blood pressure, formed as a result of stress. Energy drinks produced abroad (Bullit, RedBull and Burn) contain in addition glukuronolactone, which is a stimulant developed by the US army, but by the large consumption it’s got hallucinogenic effects. It has been banned inter alia in France.
